We are offering a practicum opportunity for 2nd-year UIC BVIS students in Spring 2026. This program focuses on applying the skills you have developed in the BVIS program such as scientific understanding, clear communication, and creative problem-solving,to a broader business and operational context. The practicum emphasizes research, strategy, and operations rather than art, design, or portfolio development.
Primary Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is a strong team player who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive in driving projects forward, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. An interest in business development and entrepreneurial growth within the life sciences sector is highly valued.
An intern will participate in some or all of these responsibilities, depending on project needs.
- Develop and update new and existing internal documents that is essential to M4’s business operations.
- Participate actively in team and client meetings, document action items, and support execution of growth-related initiatives.
- Participate in strategic market analysis with the team and continue to define potential opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Support the development of marketing and business development materials.
- Define the strategy and execute growth of our social media channels.
- Researching and learning the scientific concept, MoA (mechanism of action) and MoD (mechanism of disease) processes.
- Communicate consistently with leadership on progress, challenges, and new opportunities to refine growth efforts.
- A strong candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, pragmatic, diplomatic, and focused on maintaining positive working relationships

This practicum is offered exclusively to 2nd-year students in the UIC Biomedical Visualization (BVIS) program.
